Camp Camp David is large with extensive gardens. Until recently those gardens have been quite soggy, there was no need for watering with hose or any other means. Is all the water in Middlesex in people’s gardens and gushing out of pipes rather than in designated collection places, how inconvenient of it? Since we have been limited to watering the vegetables with cans rather than hose it has seldom been necessary, it has barely stopped raining and the once damp lawn (on the soggy scale) is now quite moist.

Regurgitated horror at Breivick abounds in the media, we are all so much much better because of him, we have a new low to compare ourselves to and feel damn good about it. We hear that Mr J Straw is to face legal action as to his role in the rendition of alleged terrorists, good business this being a human rights lawyer. Why is it called rendition anyway, did he sing an old fave terrorist tune in the club stylee, a bad rendition of a song extolling the virtue of hunger strike perchance?

Olympic fever again, I don’t know anyone who cares that much to be honest, apathy rules UK. Maybe it’s just that it gets thrust upon us incessantly and we have tired of it. '50% of Brits think it will be good value for money', are we supposed to be reassured that any great British intellect finks it will be value for money? We are fed with the idea that we all love it and are looking forward to it with added relish, unless we say otherwise our country will continue to be dominated by what the media claims about our views.

State of the Nation: Unemployment decreases by 35,000 to 2.65m. Tesco profits a mere £4b. Unions plan more disruptive action. Whatever the situation it never ceases to amaze me of the potential for man to bend the truth to his interpretation and consequently blame the opposition. I am indifferent to the leader of the government but I am far from indifferent to the slime coming from the leader of the opposition. I’m sure that even the most unfortunate ADHD sufferer must remember how this country faired at the hands of his lot. Mr Bean used to be the climate change(spits) minister, he was hilarious with his gaffs about it being unscientific to question. I hear UKIP has overtaken the LibDems in a recent poll, must be all that common sense coming from Farage. I do like his angry man rants in the EU parliament. Conclusions, we are either 'in a state' or 'everything’s going swimmingly', depends on ones need. One thing is for sure that need inevitably results in a simple dichotomy of extreme interpretations these days. Every set of statistics is either terrible or marvellous, the ‘not bad ’ option with or without ‘but’ rarely chosen.

We were at a show last night, lots of happy tunes and dancing in the isles audience participation, reminiscent of a hallelujah congregation. I quite enjoyed the occasion but found myself nodding in the first half, the increased audience participation after the break disturbed my tendency for slumber. My mind couldn’t help drifting off and thinking I wonder what Marvin Gaye songs would sound like in the club stylee? A night of scary sobriety for my Annelids.
PM’s QT, Flashman beats up Mr Bean again. I don’t know what purpose it serves the country but it is mildly amusing. Joking apart, I think Miliband is the saviour of the country, without him Labour might actually get in again. They created so many poor people when they were in who now have a natural vested interest in supporting their own inactivity, now they turn on those who are more fortunate like the experimental rats they were made into. Interesting to hear DC support the rather odious Hain, now he would be a liability as leader, one can only hope that Flashman gets the opportunity to bully him one day. Galloway, Oh dear one trick Georgie.

It has rained heavily all morning, after a heavily rainy day yesterday. Then there were small lakes across the roads in Middlesex/Bucks driving home yesterday evening, now there are rivers running down the road. The droughtmongers earlier in the week said this sort of rain is no good, we presumably need the winter sort or something. It would be hilarious to have simultaneous drought and flood warnings. I do hope that if some unfortunate gets out of their depth in flood water it really is not the same sort of water that drowns one ordinarily.
Vegetable growth likes the weather this year, the odd light frost is not doing too much damage. Bloody squirrels are busy digging up lovingly nurtured seedlings in cases where additional anti-squirrel measures are incorrectly employed. Are there any laws against inhumane disposal of said vermin? After a short period of torturous pain one should humanely finish them off, I know I know it’s a weakness of mine.
